Enjoy 🙂
Hello there! I’m Lena and I’ve moved so many times that I think I’m a nomad. I’m addicted to traveling and want to move all the time. I suffer from wanderlust, they say. Besides that, I’m also passionate about arts & crafts, design and home decor. You can find me writing about these subjects and more on my blog packmahome.com, see you there!Sometimes I struggle to stay productive and motivated on a daily basis, thus, what I do at those times is to read a lot about planning, productivity, time management, motivation, etc. And I create my own planners.
How to stay productive and motivated daily
A great place to find tips and good readings about time management, productivity and motivation is, of course, Pinterest, where you’ll find me productively procrastinating almost every day 😉
It’s hard to stay motivated and productive all year round. Even when you have a planner… By the way, have you already downloaded my free printable annual planner? If not, do it here.
One of my biggest goals is to manage my time more wisely and effectively. From that goal comes another: to plan better every single day. Sometimes it seems that time just flies out the window. Other times I feel that I have too much free time and nothing to do. Some days I go to bed under the impression I accomplished nothing that day. It sucks!
But I realized that when that happens it’s because I didn’t plan nor wrote down my To-Dos. That’s why I created a more suitable planner for my needs and developed a system!
My daily system
There are some tricks you can apply to get more things done each and every day. Here’s how:
1 Write down every single thing you want, need or have to do that day – Every little task, no matter how important it is, if you want to accomplish it that day, write it down.
2 Set categories and separate your To-Dos – What are your main goals for today? What are your routines? And what do you want to accomplish today?
3 Separate the musts, shoulds and wants – Routines and main goals out, you need to make a difference between everything you MUST do, what you SHOULD do and what you WANT to do.
GET YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT
Apart from writing down your To-Dos for that day, you should also set your priorities straight. Is it really important to edit your photos now? Shouldn’t you be writing that blog post you had in mind first and then take care of the photos? What do you think is more important? What things could be done later? When setting your priorities straight, think about this: what things do you must do? And what are those tasks that should be accomplished? What about those you really want to do?
1 If you have any appointments or meetings, schedule them so you can visualize your priorities.
2 Every time you accomplish something, give yourself a pat on the back and celebrate, you deserve it and it will help you stay motivated to accomplish more and more.
MORE THAN 300 DAYS TO PLAN…
Here’s the thing, even though I made a complete annual planner, I didn’t print the daily planner for it because I think it’s a waste of paper (poor planet Earth, don’t you think?) to print more than three hundred pages. Although I still feel the need to plan in detail each and every single day. That’s why I made myself an Eternal daily planner!
It’s really simpler, faster, cheaper and better for the environment!
So, these are my tricks to stay productive and motivated daily, what about you? Do you have a system too? How do you stay motivated and productive? Do you plan your days too? Are you using any kind of planner or you just make a daily to-do list? Or you just don’t stress about it at all and go with the flow 😉 Let me know how you accomplish your goals in the comments section below, please.
